Richard Lipes, PhD. Principal Software Engineer, Founder

Richard has over 20 years
experience in high performance computation on internet, graphics, vector, and
parallel computer architectures, gained in large organizations as well as four
startups.

PLX Technology, Inc.
- Most recently, at PLX Technology, he was responsible for in-house
developed web-based Quote system for PLX sales force and sales
representatives.

GlobalSight - At GlobalSight, a provider of enterprise software automating translation
and managing multilingual content, he implemented critical code sections for exchanging
information between user and application server and for accessing and
storing relational database information.

Amiga - At Amiga, a Gateway division, he was director of multimedia services,
responsible for delivering 2D and 3D graphics, audio and video streams, and
special graphics effects for information appliances.

ARK Logic - Richard served as director of software development at ARK Logic,
responsible for design, development, and maintenance of all software for 2D
and 3D graphics accelerators.

Silicon Graphics – At Silicon Graphics, he worked on Project Reality, which produced the
highly successful Nintendo 64 Gaming system, and on Magic Carpet, a project
for delivering MPEG-2 audio and video, AC3 audio, and 3D graphics to set-top
boxes and network computers.
Richard received his B.S.
from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology and his Ph.D. from Caltech, both
in physics. He has served on the board of directors of the Caltech Alumni
Association.
